FS: Thinkpad T23 2647-8SU Mint condition-SOLD

I am putting up forsale the nicest T2x series laptop I have in my collection. It's the 2647-8SU T23 that has just about every feature the T23 could be had with, except the SXGA+ screen. The 1.2GHz CPU and built-in wireless make it a harder to find and desirable model. Specs are below:
T23 Manufactured 06/2003
1.2MHz Pentium III-M Processor
512MB PC133 RAM
60GB 7200RPM Hitachi hard drive (still has warranty left I believe)
BUILT-IN WIRELESS 802.11b miniPCI
Modem/Ethernet combo
14.1" XGA Screen-very bright-brighter than the screen on my T40!
Windows XP Professional COA with the recovery CD's
Battery is still pretty good-lasts about 1.5-2 hours if not more
Originally had the DVD-ROM drive, but I have installed a DVD-RW/CD-RW slim drive. The drive bezel has not been modified for the eject mechanism, but can be done easily.
A/C adapter will be included
Price will be $385 shipped. As I mentioned, this unit is mint with basically no scuffs, marks, scratches, etc. It is in very nice conditon-hence the slightly higher price.
Pics are available upon request.
Thanks!
Eric

Despite the nice specs, $385 seems a bit high for a system with only an XGA screen. If it did have SXGA+, I may have had to consider.

I think the price is reasonable, even considering it only has an XGA screen.

*Deleted content on mistakingly stating I had a total of 1GB of RAM included with this machine*
Price is now $365 shipped-firm.

The two sticks cost me a total for $100 shipped, and I just received them today.
All for the same $385 shipped price-and it will definitely be a firm price with that config!
Very very very tempting, but I just can't do XGA on anything bigger than a 12". Sorry.
None the less, that should move at that price and with those specs. I once sold a T22/P3 1GHz/512MB/30GB/DVD/XGA on ebay for something like $325.

Now that makes it a very tempting deal!

Thanks for the positive comments! I know that I could put it on ebay and probably easily get my price (maybe even a tad more) but for now I would rather sell to the Thinkpad 'enthusiasts' here on the forum. I won't give my stuff away, but I will price it as fairly as possible considering the condition/shape it is in!

The price does seem a little high, but considering what is included and IF it's in mint condition, it is probably worth it. Specs like this, usually demand the highest prices. Would be nice to see a pic on this through a link in the post, though. Just an idea.......
Good luck,
Ron

Good deal. I JUST bought a T23 off of eBay for $306.73 shipped (no wireless and only 256MB of ram). I also bought 1GB (2x512) of ram for $105.99 shipped. That's $412.72 for a lesser T23.
And I feel like I got a good deal. Had I seen this beforehand, I would have definitely purchased it.

Good point-I meant to include 'pics available upon request' but left it out. I will take a few pictures later on today and see if I can link them here.
As far as the condition-the only thing missing is the Intel Pentium III sticker on the palmrest that was removed a couple of years ago-but I don't think that missing sticker would affect anything!

Trust me, you will not be disappointed with the computers from Eric. I bought last week a T21 from him. Shipped very quickly, was properly packed and worked right out of the box. It is in good condition with the normal cosmetic ware expected from a machine this old. His price is very reasonable for a machine of this specification. This is one of the more desirable T23 that are out there. To find one in mint condition is a rare find. This should give you the same or better performance than a new low end Dell that will cost about $100-250 more.

Guys, I honestly don't know what I was thinking-but I made a mistake in my FS post. I stated that I had just purchased two 512MB PC133 sticks from Crucial the other day. Well, I did purchase two sticks of memory from Crucial-however, they were 256MB sticks for a total of 512MB. Yeah, don't ask me how I messed THAT up-but I did. I am sorry for the confusion on that.
So the original configuration of 512MB is what the unit will come with. However, because of the confusion, I am lowering the price to $365 shipped-and that is firm.
