It worked fine in the X31 for the year and a half I owned it. It survived multiple passes of Memtest86 at the time, but I've not put it back in a machine since nor recently tested it. Like all Crucial memory, this has a manufacturer's lifetime warranty. I did not put it into the replacement machine, my X32, because I decided to add a 1gb stick rather than this 512mb stick.
This chip will fit many other Thinkpads including the T4x series other than the T43 which uses DDR2 RAM. If your system has PC2100 RAM in it, this PC2700 chip is backwards compatible and should work just fine, although then it would run at PC2100. In fact, the X31 runs its RAM at PC2100 regardless of whether it was shipped with a PC2100 or PC2700 stick due to limitations of the notebook bus itself.
I prefer Paypal and will ship USPS insured Priority Mail.
Please PM me if interested and I'll get it out as soon as possible.
