FS: 2.0GHz P4-M CPU SL6V9 - Pulled from an R40

#1 Post by tfflivemb2 » Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:59 pm

I have a 2.0GHz CPU pulled from a friend's R40, when he upgraded to a 2.2GHz. (I now have him addicted to Thinkpads and away from Compaqs)

Here are the basic specs:
FRU 91P7762
sPec: SL6V9
Mobile Intel Pentium 4-M 2.0GHz
512KB L2
400MHz FSB

More specific details can be found here.

I am hoping to get him $26 (shipped CONUS) regular mail or $30 via Priority Mail. Will consider shipping outside the CONUS, depending on the forum member that is asking (ie. non-newbie with good feedback)....just send a PM.

I can take a picture if requested.

EDIT: Apparently this will work in an R40, T30 or A31/p. (The only exception that I am aware of is the R40 series that use the Pentium M processors) If you aren't sure which R40 you have, just ask.

Will this work in a T41? I'm interested. PM sent.

It won't - you need a Pentium M CPU as opposed to a Pentium 4-M CPU. :)

Whatever you already have in your T41 is faster than this 2.0GHz P-4M anyway.

But it would work on a T30 and $26 shipped is a very good price.

I didn't realize that it would work in a T30...hmmm...maybe I should try putting it in my T30...

After googling, it will apparently work in an A30, as well.

Yeah, the P4 R40, the A31 and the T30 use the same chipset. The A30 uses PIII though.

You're right...that should have said A31....it was a typo...sorry.

Are you sure about the T30 though? I thought that the T30 was a P4, not a P4M.

I just checked the Tawbook and confirmed that they all use the Intel 845MP chipset, which supports P4-M.
