Is this the low-noise model or the high-noise model?? (see http://forums.storagereview.net/index.p ... 660&st=145).

Note that a large number of users have confirmed the noise-observation first presented in the above link: It is the motor (and not the location of fabrication) that determine whether the model is noisy or not: The motor which is flush with upper black plateau of the HDD, and also has a small diagram, is the silent version.
