WTB / Acquire: X30 Restore Disks

#1 Post by diademed » Mon Mar 05, 2007 5:04 am

I just tried to install Win2k on my X30 after a year and a half of fighting with Linux, and I realized that without the restore disks, it's a huge pain in the neck.

Does anyone have a copy they could burn me?

Thanks!

I have some X31 and X32 disks, but don't know if the hardware in an X30 is similar enough that either will work.

Also, my X31 disks do not create a recovery partition, or did not create one when I used them on my X32. Later I got lucky and found the old 40gb drive that shipped with my X32 and the recovery partition had not been removed from it, which is how I finally got back the original recovery partition on my X32 and also burned the recovery disks. The X32 and X31 had virtually the same hardware, but I'm not as sure about the X30

I have used X31 disks to install XP on an X30. Ince everything was installed, I loaded Software Installer and ran updates. Eeverything worked fine.
