FS: New T60 WS (8744-5BU) 2.0 GHz, 2 GB, 120 GB, X1400 $1850
I bought this Thinkpad last week during a sale, but then attempted to cancel it when it appeared that shipping would be delayed. Unfortunately, I was a little too late, and the cancellation was rejected by the warehouse and the T60 is on its way to me now (as well as a T60P I bought this week -- so many computers!).
Specs:
2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo (T7200)
15.4" WSXGA+ screen
2 GB Ram
120 GB 5400 rpm HD
DVDRW/CDRW (dual-layer capable)
X1400 graphics
Six-cell battery
802.11 a/b/g/n wireless
Warranty/Thinkpad Protection through 2010
Lenovo said I can return it, no problem, but I tried to configure it just now on the website and the total came to $2100 without tax. You could probably beat the price with the Pricing Which Must Not Be Named, but I thought I would toss this up and try to share the wealth if anyone is interested in this system.
So, I'd like to recoup my costs and sell it at the same sale price I bought it for: either $1850 and we arrange for shipping or pickup, or $1900 shipped/insured domestic.
A couple caveats: I'm not really willing to take a loss on a system I can return for free, so I would probably have to insist on a cashier's check for payment - so no Paypal unless we wanted to negotiate that. Also, I do not yet physically have this laptop but UPS tracking indicates it will be here Monday.
Like I said, unless you have access to, er, special pricing, I don't know if you can beat this price right now. If I'm wrong about that, please feel free to let me know in this thread, and I'll just send it back. But if anyone missed the sale last week, drop me a line!
Thanks for looking.

I own exactly the same model and it costed me exactly $1614 through EPP so it's a fair price you're selling at.

Yeah, I'm not trying to make money here, and I can't see a way to configure this particular system at this price at the moment. A couple weeks ago, I think the total on sale was something like $1710 before tax, and my total cost was ~$1840/1850 with tax/free shipping.
If this is really a better price than is generally available right now, I'll leave this up for another day or two, but my credit card balance is going to demand that it go back before too much longer.
I think Lenovo has a new sale starting today, I'll check that and see how the pricing stacks up to that.
Edit: Well, a little better than last week, but I just put this computer together for over $2000 pre-tax. If you don't have access to any special pricing, I think this is still a pretty good deal.
