600e for parts

#1 Post by micah » Sun Mar 18, 2007 1:22 pm

I'm about to send this 600e to the computer recycling place, but I thought I'd see if anyone is out there who was like me and needed some parts for their trusty 600e.

For the most part its a decent laptop, but I think something happened recently with the motherboard because it gets errors on startup and can't really be used without repair. The LCD is in good shape (no dead pixels, no red/pink haze, no lines, etc.), and the inverter is also good. The keyboard is a newish replacement. The CD/DVD drive works. 163264KB reported on boot...Battery is likely not very good.

Does anyone need these parts or should I just dump it? It would be sad to send it to the recycling center because I spent so much time repairing and replacing things on this laptop that I'd like to see others using the perfectly good parts.

I'd be interested in the entire thing, as I just got a 600E back in that needs work, after someone dropped it. How much?

micah, you need to put your location in your profile as opposed to your machine specs, thanx.

Make me a reasonable offer and I'll accept it :)
