FS: somewhat loaded X30 + accessories

My fiance's X30, which I bought her in 2004, is being replaced as an early wedding present. But, the sale of it will be the difference between her getting a Z series and T series.

Other than a semester-long stint at college in the spring of 2005, she has only used it when she came down to visit me, as she was cursed with dialup at home. So, it's had a really easy life. What time it was at college, she didn't take it to classes, and she had it on a port replicator, using a wireless keyboard & mouse. So, the keys and palmrest show little to no wear. However, the bezel doesn't seem to have faired quite as well- for some unknown reason it developed cracks by the screws at the hinges. I've superglued the cracks so it won't break, but the bezel is the only real flaw with this unit; replacing it would make this look practically new... There is also a crack above the PCMCIA slot that has been glued as well.

Pictures will be taken later today, but due to the above reasons, I have to rate it an A- or B+ rather than a solid A.

As far as pricing goes, I know I've seen them going on ebay for $300-350-ish for standalone units. Given the inclusion of a spare battery, spare AC Adapter, 2 WiFi cards, and a carrying bag, I'd like to think I could get $350 out of it, despite the bezel's cosmetic flaws.

This x30 looks beautiful and with the extra's, I'm a little tempted myself..........But, I have to admit those lcd screw cracks bother me..

fully understandable. I'd love to know why the bezel cracked where it did, given its lack of use, but I'm not sure.

I'm willing to accept lower offers, and I can take more pics if desired.

I bet a bit of WD40 on the hinges would do wonders.
It's probably LACK of use that made the hinges 'stiffen up' and crack the bezel where it did.

or probably because of how you carry the laptop as those areas are weakspot of the laptop and easy to break

If it's any consolation, the X30 I am typing on at this very moment has cracks at the exact same places.

Honestly, it's eerie as hell.

The X30 is a wonderful machine, btw.
