Looking for Rescue and recovery for T23

I Had no idea that there was a rescue and recovery on my old hard drive, and that was formatted long ago, and i'm on my 3rd drive at the moment.

I'm on a wild goose chase to see if I can get my fingerprint reader to work, and it seems that the programs that will enable it require the rescue and recovery to be installed. I have no i dea what it costs, or how to get it......

Some days just go from bad to worse......
