For sale, one ThinkPad 570, type 2644-1AU. From Lenovo: PII 333MHz (256KB) 64MB RAM 4.0GB 13.3 XGA TFT 56K(Int) Win98

This machine works great, but will ship with no hard drive. It will ship with drive caddy and cover and one AC adapter and a main battery that lasts for five minutes or so.

The case is in very good condition. There are only surface scuffs on the top lid. The screen has no marks, but the edges are slightly dim.

$50 plus the actual cost of your preferred shipping method, or add $10 for a PC100 128MB installed, totaling 192MB. Add $10 for a sealed OEM copy of Windows 98.

Edit and bump: I have a 256MB stick I'll include for $30 installed and tested. The 128MB stick has been sold.

I'll accept secured US funds only: check, money order, or PayPal if NOT using a credit card. US or Canada destination preferred. EU countries considered.

My eBay identity is whizkid.

This sounds pretty good and the price is right!

I would consider this myself for a backup, but I have a 240 due anytime now...............................

Still available.

How much more attractive would it be with a hard drive and Win98 installed? All I've got here is a 2GB!

I hate that every 570 I come across has a dead battery. Did everybody ware them out, or was it just a bad design. That is the only thing that is keeping me from buying a 570. I would defiantly use one at school due to the thin and light factor, but my T21 seems to do the job quite well.

On the 570E's I had, all of them maybe had 20 total cycles on the batteries after all these years, but due to their age I think the circuitry inside won't allow them to charge anymore.

Then again, maybe it is just a bad design!

I got this machine with this battery, and it was already old and didn't hold much of a charge. I can't say it's gotten any worse! :)

FWIW, Kahlon sells new batteries for this machine for $69 with a one year warranty.

It is a company, not a member here.
