James,

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but, I'm not really that old! At 52 years young, yesterday I rode my 2007 HD RoadGlide from Boston Heights, Ohio to Westport, Ma. 648 miles, 3 gas stops, 11 hours total elapsed time! And that included rush hour traffic over the Tappan Zee Bridge and fighting the crush on the Merritt T-Pike. I'd defy anyone 1/2 my age to keep up with me. Oh, I've been around this forum since 1993. That's a long time!

Brad,

Most of my trips are long ones. I managed to ride about 1500 miles over the weekend. Just sold off my '04 Road King with 63K on it. Had an '83 FXRT with over 250K and a 72 FX with 126K. How about this trip; Westport, MA to Sturgis, SD, 2000 miles in 3 days!

I really like this '07 RoadGlide. The 96" motor is strong and the 6 speed makes for great cruising at speed. It handles a lot like my old FXRT thanks to the frame mounted fairing. I have a '92 Dyna, 97" stroked EVO that's hot but I don't care for the handling.

Ride.............any time. If you can keep up with an "Old Guy!"

Gator,

It won't work with your T60 based upon the info on the Lenovo website.

You might really be surprised! Ever watch a police MC rodeo? Amazing what can be done at slow and high speeds with a 900 lb. bike. But I've been practicing a very long time.......................

And the engine is now producing over 40 HP over stock! Makes a big difference.

I'll keep my ancient XLCH Frank, we complement each other. We both run out of gas at the same time.

You need to stop by North Jersey and visit my Fatboy riding SIL and his cohort of wealthy, Wall Street riders who view their HDs as giving them street cred.

Show them the true meaning of "old school"!

XLCH was my first bike. I bought a used '67 in '69. Light, maneuverable and quick. Notice I didn't say it was reliable. It leaked oil. The carb flooded. The kickstart ratchet skipped. The clutch slipped. The brakes didn't stop and needed adjusting every other day AND it had manual spark advance. If you didn't have the spark retarded enough it would kick back and throw you over the handlebars when starting it (and it did a few times). Did I mention it leaked oil? I had a lot of fun taking girls to the beach on that bike though. Took it touring through Maine, Nova Scotia and Canada. Went to Daytona for the first time in '71. Traded it in on the '72 FX and never looked back! Got my iron [censored] from riding that XLCH though.
