I'm at work so can't see what the parts numbers are on my monitor stands at home and I'm not familiar with the product name "convertible" monitor stand. Can you describe it? I do have a couple of Monitor stand 2000s at home, but not sure that these are what you are looking for.

I don't know if the Monitor stand 2000 can take in a thinkpad mini dock for T60 - if you can check it, I'll take it ...

I don't think the physical size is an issue since it seems like the docks keep getting smaller. I'll send you some dimensions when I get home. It does have some pegs (for lack of a better word) that are kinda "L" shaped that plug into a sliding base that hold the dock or port replicator in place. The there is a shelf above that which holds the monitor. I've had up to a 20" IBM P200 (Trinitron) CRT on that thing, so it'll hold almost anything.

I found some pics of the 2001 stand with google ... I see 3 sets of "locks" on that tray in one of the pics of the 2001 stand. I think the mini-dock might just work ... I will check tonight and post here ...
