Xyko, thanks for the pics.

You should edit the post title to say it includes pics as per rules of the forum.

Tip: A compressed can of air might make that T43 look better, and bring in a little more money.

$575 is an excellent price for a T43, even with the problem with the eject, since the drives are easily replaceable.

And yes....please edit the title to include "Pics"

Yeah it did make a BIG difference! My suggestion to the OP is to remove the first set of pictures because they will not help to sell the lappy. :)

If you look around in the "T4x" subforum, you'll see that this problem is very common for the T4*'s. The T43 that I used to own was also affected.

Besides ejecting from "My Computer", one can also do it by inserting a paper clip wire into the little hole on the CD drive tray. This eject button defect is a really minor issue.

Xyko, bumping is only every 3 days on the forum here ... be patient, someone will take it - the price is great. If I had the money, I'd have taken it before you blinked ...

What's the current price on it? I don't need overnight shipping, so the lower it can go w/ shipping, the better.

My fiance's parents were supposed to be buying her tower so we could afford to get her a Core Duo, but I wouldn't have a problem settling for a T43, I know I loved mine.

Before the breakdown, I listed it for $525 overnight shipping. Now I spent $200 buying the warranty, I just want to make atleast some money back from that also.

So, $615 is the best I can do.

Lemme see if I've got this right--

You put it up here at $615 on April 7th.

On April 11th it went belly up and you offered it for $315 (in a msg since deleted, and only exists as a quote in someone else's msg).

Then I'm guessing you have it fixed somewhere (no mention where).

And on April 29th it's back on sale at $615.

Is that about right?

No, it was $525 on April 17th. I bought the one year on-site warranty from IBM a few days afterward. Got it fixed by an IBM technician at the house.
