You're right. Looks like PC133 prices have been going down really fast. Did you see this one?

What kind of desktop computer are you trying to upgrade?

Compaq EVO D500 series upgraded to 2.4 Northwood.

I think it could probably use high density ram (intel 845 chipset)
but I will look for low density just in case.

I rescued this from our company junk pile and am setting it
up for "video editing" using odds and ends hanging around
my parts heap.

I don' t think the chip in your link would work..it 's registered...
which I think is usually used in a server application.

I'm about to upgrade my son's Asus mobo which currently has 1 1Gb stick and 1 512Mb stick. If you can wait for 2 to 3 weeks, we can work out a good deal. I also have few 256Mb sticks sitting here as the left overs of my previous upgrade.

If you are interested in the motherboard and/or 1Gb pIII CPU ( match pair, but I can sell separately ), they will be available too.

I am from Vancouver, BC and I can ship by Canada Post. Or if you have friends/relatives in Vancouver, we can arrange a local pick up. Then I don't have to pack and you safe few dollars as well.
