FS: ThinkPad T60p 2623DDU SOLD

#1 Post by sinden » Fri Apr 20, 2007 1:54 am

This is the same model as available currently through Lenovo Outlet here. I ordered the notebook w/ a 5% EPP, but I will sell at $1850 (including shipping) so you can save on tax plus a little extra. I bought a used R50p FV from a friend for a deal that I couldn't pass up, so I could use the money I ended up spending on this.

My unit shipped on April 18th, so it should arrive by next week. FYI, the FlexView panel on it is the same 42T0345 15 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU as stated by others in the T60 forum. Please send me a message if interested.

Thanks,
Dennis

Shipment update, delivery expected on 23 April. I also have a brand new advanced mini dock that I'll throw in for another $150, seeing that I won't be needing it anymore :P.

Well I know I am silly

But why would anyone buy it from you for just about the same price as IBM direct? I don't get the point of this, just send it back for a refund if you don't want it. Why take a loss, and expect someone to pay you retail?

I don't get it. I guess I am just silly.

You must have never heard of sales tax before, and surely have underestimated people's urge for instant gratification... have you ever had the pleasure of RMA'ing an item? I'd rather sell it and lose a little than to wait 3 weeks for the whole transaction to be reconciled.

If you bought it from IBM, you have 30 days to send it back. Why do you desire to take a loss of SALES TAX?

You must've missed the part about EPP pricing. I'm losing a whopping $50 or so... plus, you cannot return EPPs, at least that was the policy last week when I bought it. BTW, do you have anything better to do than question my reasons for selling this laptop?

You don't have 30 days anymore, Lenovo only accepts returns for unopened items within 21 days now. Also as "scosgt1" rightly said about returning it, you can make up the true story into reality that you bought it thinking of it having the BOE LCD but it turned out to be ID TEch otherwise you can always look for any potential buyer here or on ebay.

Avoid putting your email on forums but if you really have to, adopt the "username AT domain dot com" format instead.

That's correct. An EPP sale, like a diamond, is forever.

No returns allowed.

Didn't really matter to me, I've used enough washed out TN panels that any FV looks great, BOE or otherwise... on another note, I just signed up recently and am really dumbfounded by the antagonism demonstrated by some of the folks here, I honestly must ask if some people have nothing better to do than to actively look for posts to quibble about. Does it pain you so much to see me sell this item @ a meager loss that you must bother us w/ your unhelpful rants? It's of little consequence if I lose a little money selling the item because relatively, I already have saved much more buying a used R50 that literally has the same screen (15" UXGA) that I wanted before they were completely phased out.

As far as your spam, perhaps some forum user though it amusing to harass you as much as you've harassed me, for I do not engage in such juvenile behavior... I apologize and it is unfortunate but know it was not me who did that.

Sorry I, myself did not know that EPP machines could not be returned. Also, apologies for your having such "an experience" here but I assure you most members are good.

Good Luck with your auction.

Well it's here finally... I will refrain from opening it just in case someone wants dibs on it. It goes on eBay Tuesday/Wednesday, so please contact me before then if you're interested.
