yea the last picture is supposed to be a picture of cpuz showing the computer running at 747.7 Mhz but yea...ebay's resolution isn't the greatest. Email me for high resolution images, the shot of cpuz you can actually see the pixels!

Haha that was from my old signature when I was a regular on the forums. They were Viking 16 chip units. PC100...darn good RAM I sold each already though.

I couldn't believe how fast it was with the 576MB at 810Mhz, for a work computer you can't beat the 440BX AGPset. It feels faster than my 1.7Ghz tualatin desktop with 800Mb of RAM!

Question, How do you manage to install 576mb of ram in it? Does it has a 600X mobo in it?

600E 32+256+256=544
600X 64+256+256=576

If it has a 600X mobo in it, does it has the mini pci covered, or you use a 600X base in it?

I know too many questions.

It *had* a 600E mobo that had PC100 4(16MB) modules soldered in place of the 8MB chips with an extra crystal and clockgen setup in the PCMCIA soldered to the board that I was able to get 937 Mhz out of at 125 fsb but I am most likely going to sell this on ebay separately or keep as a souvenir . My original plan was to solder 4(32MB) PC100 modules in place on the mobo for an extra 128MB but I couldn't seem to track down any with the same pin configuration, so I used what I had from a dead 600X mobo. I wanted to take a PIII MMC2 module and swap on a 1 Ghz chip in an oven and try to get over 1.2 Ghz but that never happened because classes started again. Now I'm broke and need money so my toys are getting sold.

The one I am selling has a basically new bare stock 600E motherboard. And comes with a 32MB DIMM in one of the banks with the 32MB of on board enabled in the CMOS for a total of 64MB. The system runs at 99 Mhz fsb producing 747 Mhz clock speed.
