Up for sale is my wife's t41. I gave her a new T60 for mother's day so this need to find a new home.

Product: ThinkPad T41 2373-7JU [change]

Operating system: All [change]

Original description: P M 1.6GHz, 1024MB RAM, 40GB 5400rpm HDD, 14.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, 32MB ATI Radeon 7500, 16x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, Cisco 802.11b wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 1GB Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip(TCPA), 6 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro

* Picture showed Vista but it will be erased and XP will be reloaded (IBM recovery partition is gone)
* There is a hairline crack at the top left corner of the LCD bezel but not noticeable. I'm just meticulous that's why I noticed it.
* Battery runs about 30-40 mins.
* I forced IBM to replaced motherboard a couple months ago. Warranty expired.
* Faded E and N keys. I'm still wondering why my wife uses a lot of E's and N's

* Overall - clean laptop.
* Upgraded to 1 GB (2 sticks) from the original 512mb.

Now the price ................ $395 shipped.
Be nice to me and I will throw in a new keyboard

Why are you hiding the unit serial number?

So that someone doesn't claim that it was theirs, and try to report it as stolen, based on seeing the serial number...

I guess it's just me. Maybe a little bit paranoid that somebody might use it for something bad. I always do it whenever I sell something online (used car hiding the license plate). Potential buyers normally ask me privately about those and I never hesitated to give it if I feel he's legitimate.

That's cool. I was just asking in case a few people might want to look up any information on the unit by using the SN.
