All Sold

Thanks All

- Steve

hi all

I have

- 1 stock

IBM Thinkpad R31. The machine is in 8.5 to 9/10 condition and is currently sitting in my house un-used. Battery life is about 2 hours, come with power cable. Machine has no known issues.

- 1 heavily upgraded IBM Thinkpad T40p. The machine is in 6 to 6.5/10 condition and is currently my daily use machine. Machine HAS the standard T40p USB1.1 speed problem but comes with a PCMCIA card with 2USB and 2 FireWire 400 ports as well as the screen problem described and shown in my comments (smugiri) in this thread. Battery life is about 1 hour 30 minutes at low load. Tilde/back tick key sticks a little but works. Some cracked plastic at palmrest/keyboard joint that is purely cosmetic (ie does not affect functionality).

Upgrades include
1. DVD Multi+ burner
2. 1GB RAM (512MB+512MB)
3. Choice of 80GB or 100GB HDD. Can also supply ultrabay slim HDD caddy for the extra drive on request.
4. Logitech v270 Bluetooth mouse
5. PCMCIA card with 2USB and 2 FireWire 400 ports.
6. 2 power supplies - 1 IBM, 1 generic
7. Dock II: dock PCI slot is empty, Ultrabay slot has floppy disk drive.

Pictures of the machine here and here.

If you are really interested, make me a serious offer for the machine that you are interested in via PM, shippijng inclusive.

Offers for the T40p should be for the whole machine, Dock and all.

Shipping is about $30 for either machine to continental US/Canada so figure this into your offer. I can send internationally at your own risk but payment clears before anything even starts happening.

Paypal only. I will cover fees.

If I do not get any serious offers, I will be parting out the machine in about 2 weeks.

Selling this (and all my other Thinkpads/toys) to make budget room for an impending X60t purchase.

thanks all,

What are the specs on the R31? (the link is dead)

Also, what kind of price are you looking at? I have a friend that loves the R31-R40 series...

I was just going to ask about the R31 also. Memory, hard drive, wireless card, lcd size?

Thanks,
Ron

R31 Specs

#5 Post by smugiri » Thu May 24, 2007 6:12 am

The R31 link seems to be back now just in case, here are the specs.

Based on 2656-AFU:
Mobile Celeron 1.066GHz (256KB)
256MB RAM
20.0GB HDD
13.3 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD
8x24x8x/8x CDRW/DVD-ROM
802.11b wireless
Modem(MPCI)
Ethernet(LOM)
TV out
Li-Ion battery
WinXP Pro

Battery life is about 2 hours.

As ridiculous as it may sound, I would rather take offers than name a price. If you are a serious buyer, do not hesitate to offer what seems to be a fair amount. I will not give the machines away for $50 of course but I am really really looking to move them.

I wish this had a 14.1" screen. I've been using a R31 for about a year now with no problems. My family uses it and I've been pleasantly surprised how fast this laptop runs..Good model...

T40p sold

R31 is still available.

Dock II is also available.

I am selling these items of ridiculously low amounts so do not hesitate to make me an offer if you are serious about buying.

Whats the thinkpad Dock II worth anyway? What would thay sell for.?
I must go on e-bay now to check out prices.

Quick question..With that Dock II it says it has a ultrabay 2000 in it.
Can you put in a dvd drive in it and than use it with a X21 system? But than say you want to install WinXP onto the X21.Put the bootable XP cd in the UB2000 drive in the Dock II and install XP?

Bump

Sorry about the long delay in updating this thread: went on a sudden trip on which I had no internet access.

R31 is still available.
