FA: On eBay, X41 Tablet NO H.D., w/Warranty $599 BIN
Looks like a nice deal if you need a tablet...still plenty of warranty left (Type 1867 machine, SN: L3-AP252).

Too late, somebody started the bidding and didn't use BIN.
Still may be a good auction to watch.

A couple of days ago, I bought a X41 tablet, with an external DVDRW and warranty till Sep '08. It hasn't arrived yet.

Well, both the "youch" screen and stylus can be fixed under warranty. Maybe the youch screen shocks the user?
(Bill, I hope you snag - or should I say snipe - it for a good price.)

ive never owned a tablet before, but would at least like to try one. is there a higher res. screen than 1024x768 on any thinkpad laptops? preferably on any models i could afford right now i.e used x40? what about these 1.8 hard drives, can you use one out of an ipod or is that not a good idea?
*EDIT* i thought i was in off-topic, sorry

The only X-series with a higher res than 1024x768 is the X60 tablet (SXGA+, i.e. 1400x1050), but it's not yet as cheap as a used X40. Many of us have [censored] about the lack of SXGA+ for non-tablet X-series models.skitty4gzus wrote:ive never owned a tablet before, but would at least like to try one. is there a higher res. screen than 1024x768 on any thinkpad laptops? preferably on any models i could afford right now i.e used x40?
Back to the OP's X41t. I am somewhat interested because I too would like to play with a tablet. If the price stays below the original BIN price during the final minute of the auction, I might place a bid!
