Toshiba Portege 7200CTe

PIII 600 MHz, magnesium case, Accupoint (Toshiba's version of the TrackPoint) and the DVD Network Dock (genuine 3Com LAN card).
Its got 192MB of RAM (upgradeable to 320MB) and a quiet 40GB hard drive. Screen is 13.3" at 1024X768 XGA resolution, with excellent brightness and color.
This is a gorgeous machine that is conceptually similar to the ThinkPad 570X. IT weighs a bit over 4lbs by itself, and clips into its dock to add DVD drive (swappable for more modern drives), floppy drive and stereo speakers.
The case is about the nicest I've ever seen on a laptop, with only machines like the expensive Touchbooks feeling stronger (absolutely zero flex). Its a bit slow in XP, but flies with Windows 2000 or Ubuntu Linux (I have 7.04 installed now). There is no COA, so I will be shipping with Ubuntu 7.04 installed, though with the dock it would be easy to install any flavor of Windows, all of which are well supported on Toshiba's website.
I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful this machine is. Anyone who's bought from me knows I have extremely high standards for cosmetic condition, and this is by far the nicest used computer I have ever seen (no doubt those very strong case materials helped).
$175 shipped.
