Sold: IBM ThinkPad A21m PARTS machine with 30GB TravelStar drive, 1.44 built-in floppy drive, Ethernet, modem, 128MB RAM, 14" LCD, very good battery, very good keyboard, DVD etc. (no AC adatper).
*Pic removed*
I'm calling it a parts machine for three reasons;
1) serious video issue - video does not display properly on the LCD unless you torque it with both hands (lower left and top right, then twist). It displays perfectly on an external display - see pix.
2) no hard drive caddy or cover or cover screw.
3) DVD drive works sometimes. I was able to load Win98 from CD, but had to open and close the drive door three times due to read errors.
Other than that, the machine is in suprisingly good condition. It looks great with few scratches. One small chip of plastic is missing from the bottom, but it's hard to identify.
The battery is in very good condition and in the green zone, see screen shots below (I would say the battery utility is a little optimistic reading over 4 hours...)
I used the machine with Windows 98 and all the IBM updates for several hours without any issues at all. It's quite snappy.
I'll take $75 delivered in the U.S. or more if you'd like to offer more. PayPal preferred. Definitely "as is", but I did describe it accurately.
Many more pix -> *Pix removed*
