is this still for sale? are you taking into account the newer, faster macbook's that were recently released? I need one for my sister

Yes, its still available.

I realize that newer faster Macbooks have been released but this one comes with a 3 year warranty instead of the standard 1 year. Thats a $250 warranty upgrade.

And don't forget, that the new Macbooks are not a whole lot faster. No Santa Rosa Platform, just some more MHz. I'd prefer the warranty upgrade over a little more speed anytime.

As far as I see this one:
- is a little little bit slower (no santa rose)
- has more warranty
- has a superdrive instead of a combo drive
