R50p Sold (FS: R50p or R60 -- Both Nice with Warranties)

I have two extra ThinkPads, and I have been advised that I can only keep one of them. So, I will sell one and keep the one that does not sell.

The first one is a ThinkPad R50p (1832-22U). It has a nice UXGA screen, 1.5 GB of RAM, and about one year remaining on its original warranty. It is very nice with only minor signs of use. I have an R50p box for it, but not the original box for this particular computer.

The other one is a ThinkPad R60 (9457-8KU). It has 1.5 GB of RAM and almost 3.5 years left on its ThinkPad Accidental Damage/ Depot Warranty. It is in mint condition. I have the original box, etc. for this computer.

I am no expert on R-Series pricing, but from what I have been able to gather, reasonable cash prices, including insured shipping within the continental U.S, for the R50p would be $670 and for the R60 would be $920.

If you are interested, please let me know.

Thanks.

A bump for a seller with a conscience.

Rex sold me a laptop over 2 years ago. When it arrived with his personal info and family photos on a partion of the drive I called to ask if I should delete them. Instead, he overnighted a brand new Hitachi 7K60 and a set of recovery CD's, and even paid for me to send the original drive back to him, all the while apologising (for days) for the extra work I had to go through (I was going to format and start from scratch anyway!). I never forgot the effort he went through to be sure I was satisfied. Knowing this, and a bit about his profession, I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to a buyer. I've dealt with many members on this forum, but none who wanted to please a buyer more than Rex.

I knew the R50p would be the one to go when shortly after my last post pianowizard messaged you. I think he's trying to corner the market in R50p's!!!

Yak, your post about that experience with Rex convinced me that he's a good seller, so I decided to buy this R50p. And yes, I need another R50p because I want to have one more laptop with a QXGA screen!
