Z61e Deal at Lenovo

#1 Post by whizkid » Thu Jun 07, 2007 1:31 pm

0672B3U for $499. Seems like a deal. Maybe US only.

Go to the Lenovo Outlet, click Last Chance.

Hm, I don't know. 256/40 is a bit lame. For the amount of money you'd need to get it in shape you could easily afford a T42. Cough up the money for a real optical drive and a bigger HDD, and you'd get a T42p.

But then again, it's a new computer, of course. I'm just not a big fan of the Z series.

I saw a Z series at Staples a while ago and was shocked by how disgusting it looked. Your future T60 looks thousands of times nicer!

I know. You wouldn't believe how many times during the last couple of days I've typed "T60" into Google Images to salivate a little.

I dunno, the widescreen T-6o's look as similar or worse than the Z-series IMO (excluding those titanium one). And the new widescreen T61 looks thick and the massive plastic frame around the screen looks soo cheap.

Hm, seems like I'm still the only one in the world who thinks that that weirdo-frame of the T61 rocks.^^

I usually like both widescreens and non-wides, as long as I know the computer is a serious workhorse. And probably the Z-series are not bad computers on the inside, but somehow they seem to jump up and down screaming "C'mon, watch DVD's on me. Surf the web, share your party pix, and manage your stupid Myspace friends with me." I don't want to associate such stuff with TP's, it's disgusting.

I've owned a Z60m and also had a chance to look T61 personally. IMO T61 is trying to dress up like and imitate the features (has already with camera, firewire and 4-in-1 media card options) of Z-series. The latter is rumoured to be cut off very soon in the future as well.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
