Hi folks,

I bought this off a forum member without doing my homework. This is a 256 MB high-density 144-pin SODIMM SDRAM. I have not had a chance to fully test it. My X21 powers up with it fine, but only sees 128 MB due to the high-density thing.

I am fairly sure it will work in a T23 or similar, but I cannot guarantee. Therefore, this stick will come as-is. If you're interested, I can run memtest on the 128 MB that my X21 does see, though I do not know how representative the result will be.

18 CAD shipped, buyers in Canada preferred ceteris paribus. Will ship in a standard RAM stick retail box and a padded envelope. Non-CC paypal preferred, but willing to work out other methods.

Can you post 'em? What product description were you sold? What does it say on the DIMM? What speed is it rated, PC100, PC133?

I have a T22 and would like to replace a 128 with a 256. I am in New York but even a US buyer is better than none, eh?

So in other words PC133. And the X20/X21, like the T20/T21/T22 and the 600 series require PC100 modules (or so-called "low density" PC133 MHz ones according to another forum thread).

This should work fine in a T23, but will not work in a T22.

I will get the details when I get back home.

I believe the compatibility has to do with the amount of memory in each chip, not speed (I will double check with the working RAM I have in the X21), hence the high-density. That said, as far as I know this will not work in a T22.

for the straight talk. I bought a 133 SODIMM once that said it would work, but did not.

No problem, and I can sympathise, finding the right older RAM can be a challenge sometimes.
