WTB X31/32 or X40/41

The time has finally come for me to acquire a Thinkpad of my very own, and I've decided that the X series is the one for me. I'm on a very student-style budget, so the most I could manage is about $550 shipped. I'm looking for an X31, X32, X40, or X41 in nice condition so that they'll last several more years under tender loving care.
A pristine or near-perfect screen is a must, but minor scuffs and scratches and shiny keyboards are no big deal whatsoever. Ultrabase isn't necessary, but would of course be nifty to have as I know I'll be buying one eventually - doesn't matter what kind of drive in the base, though, I have a desktop with burning capabilities so just a -ROM would be no problem. The more RAM and hard drive space the better, of course, and a 7200RPM hard drive would be awesome to find in an X3x but again not necessary. Long story short, I'm looking to explore my options for what's out there in my price range.
I'm kicking myself bigtime for missing a pair of really nice loaded X41s on Ebay yesterday but wanted to make sure that a check cleared in time - alas. My Ebay career is pretty much nonexistent, so I don't see much reason to link to my single positive feedback (100%! Woohoo!) but you'd have your money long before I saw a PC anyhow. Paypal is of course an option, both CC and bank-account drawn, and I'm sure we could work out other payment as well. Here's to hoping somebody out there has the thinkpad for me!
