Just wondering if the machine itself is worth a pretty penny or not, or if the parts themselves are worth more. Not an offer for sale, just checking to see how my investment is working out.

366MHz (upgrade from 300MHz) PII
6X DVD-Rom (taken from a T20 and rail-swapped)
1 Floppy Drive
6GB Hard Drive
288MB Ram
WG511U Wifi card
Margi DVD-to-Go card with Dongle
Main Battery that lasts 40min-1hour
Dead Bay Battery
Power Cable
Netgear FA511 Ethernet Adaptor
Composite TV-Out Cable

600E

$29 IF the screen has no red tint. If it does, basically nothing. If everything works, you could get maybe $20 for the mobo and $30 for the LCD if parted out, everything else is really not worth anything. Floppy and CD drives sit on tables on shows with a price tag of $5.00, the hard drive is absolutely worthless due to age and size. Margi cards (I may have sold it to you!) are now worthless, as all modern systems play DVD without any outside help. They keyboard, if it is fairly nice, $15.00, the palmrest if perfect $10.00

As to internal parts, I have bought boxes of dead 600E's with the LCD removed but all internal parts present for $50 for 10 units!

Sorry if this bursts your bubble, but if anyone says it is worth $150, tell them to back it up and buy it!

I guess I don't have to ask how much all my 760's are worth. :(

Funny you mention "street value" rather than retail value. You wouldn't happen to be a cop, would you? :D

I have picked up a few 760ED and 760XL units at shows for $5-10
Sometimes they even have drives and memory and work!
A few $$ for the 765D, that was a good machine with limited production (in comparison).

Hmm. Well, most of mine are w/o HDs or caddies. Most have 32MB RAM too. I guess they're worth more as parts, and not much there either. Ah well...

You could probably walk away with $125 or so if you threw it on eBay...with a good listing underlining all the extras...

If you choose to part it out I might be interested in a few things from your description...
