I've snatched this one a bit ago and intended to keep it for a while, but ended up parting it out after just 2 days as a donor for my wife's newly acquired barebone T42. So here's how that goes:

Product: ThinkPad R51 2883-2XU [change]
Operating system: All [change]

Original description: P M 1.5GHz, 256MB RAM, 20GB 4200rpm HDD, 14.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, Intel Extreme, 24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11b/g wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 10/100 Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 6 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro

This one will come with
no hard disk drive (cover is included)
no media drive
no wireless card
no ac adapter

Known deficiencies include:

- one dead pixel in the lower mid-section of the screen
- some scratches on the screen, more visible when the machine is off
- some wear on the lid
- one minor (toothpick-size) hole on the palmrest where some genius probably screwed in a wrong screw from the bottom side

Asking $180 firm plus reasonable shipping depending on where you are. I ship internationally and accept most forms of payment.

Reasonable trade offers, both up or down, are welcome.

Feel free to PM me for high-resolution pictures, or with any questions or concerns that you might have.
