Have you upgraded the CPU? T41p's didn't come with Dothan?

Also, if so and noticed by IBM, could affect service warranty.

Nice machine, nice price!

Processor was self-upgraded, should not affect the remaining warranty.

The fact that you've upgraded the processor yourself would most certainly void the warranty if the machine was ever to be returned to IBM/Lenovo and they were to discover the swap. Period.

You may want to include the original CPU in the sale if you still have it, just for the buyer's peace of mind.

Having said all of this, the machine sounds like a great one, and at a very reasonable price.

All the best.

Why on Earth is this still available? This machine will score higher than some T60's on Vista's video experience metrics.

T4xp's are quite nice, if I didn't already have one, I'd make an offer.

You'll noticed it looks very similar to the post by milesrbruce. I'm thinking they must be the same person. I'm sure a mod could check the IP they were posted from.

Since all T41P's are similar, they MUST all be sold by the same person, same for all T42P's and heck, why not T60P's

Uh oh, a grouchy seller :). You didn't smack that T41P when you got [censored] at it did you?

Methinks thou doest protest too much! I think I'm on to something. It's not just that they were both t41P's. There were other clues. Besides, why respond to my post when apparently you didn't want to respond to the offers? :P

What is your problem, do you want to be banned? You have 10 total posts and 2 of them are for thread-crapping in my marketplace thread? READ THE RULES:
2. No trolling. Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up.
There were no offers that interested me that I felt like I needed to respond to.

The T41P is still available for sale, I have pictures available on request.

Will you include the original CPU in the sale so Lenovo will cover the machine under warranty?

Dude, that's just plain rude. You never ever heard of offer and counteroffer?

Jees, sounds to me that you really don't want to sell it or something.

I too thought that such a nice machine should have been sold long ago. freddy418, would you mind providing a little more info? Specifically, when will the warranty expire, and what percentage of the design capacity does the battery hold?

But the hard drive, optical drive and keyboards can still be replaced for free if they have problems.

the warranty expires in october of this year. You can check the status at IBM by inputing 2374-GGU for model and xxxxxxx for the serial.

The battery still holds roughly 70-75% charge

The original CPU is not available

MODERATOR EDIT: Removed the serial number for your own protection.

thanks for the edit

I think you ought to remove your serial # post. Some malicious person out there might report it to lenovo as stolen, or worse....

Good suggestion.

I looked up this unit and its warranty expires on 2007-11-03.

I just bought a T41p, conforming to the description in this thread, from this seller, on eBay (item number 170129991772). Although the CPU upgrade wasn't explicitly disclosed on the eBay page, no remaining warranty is claimed on there either, so that seems fair to me. I'll yet y'all know how it goes!

Just a quick update: This T41p was in very nice condition, with flawless screen, keyboard and bezel. Some wear around the corners of the chassis and screen. Still working great. I'm happy, thanks to the seller.
