The specs from Lenovo,
P M 755, 1GB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HDD, 15 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD, 128MB ATI FireGL T2, CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner(slim), IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless(MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 9 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro
That's a Pentium M 755 running at 2Ghz with a 15" UXGA Flexview LCD. I upgraded the RAM to 2GB. It's in excellent shape, no nicks or marks. It will also include an extra 9 cell Li-Ion battery(2 total), a Booq sleeve, extra hard drive tray for the ulraslim slot, and an extra keyboard. I swapped out the keyboard to the preferred of the two skus here at the forums but I don't remember the details. Included is 1 AC adapter.

It was purchased in October of 2004 and the warranty is good until October 2007. I'm not sure if you can buy an extension to that date, perhaps someone in the know here can respond to that.

I just ordered a set of recovery CDs from Lenovo today. I can do the install for you or just blank the hard drive for you to do your own install. Obviously recovery CDs included.

Although I'm not a regular poster on the forums I have been a member for quite a while and have excellent feedback on eBay. If you'd like to check my eBay feedback my username there is the same as here, jimg72.

I've posted some hi-res photos of the laptop, just taken this evening. They're at http://bigjim.org/ebay/.

I haven't listed it on eBay yet. I figured I'd try sell it here or through a post on my blog beforehand. I looked on eBay first and didn't see a unit this nice for sale or sold recently.

Asking price is $1000 plus shipping.

I prefer to ship to US only, but could be convinced to ship elsewhere.

Any questions please ask...

Sounds like an excellent system. Best of luck with the sale. I have yet to see a screen that beats ones that T42P came with in 15" UXGA form...simply delicious.

Maybe QXGA...but that's probably a shortcut to Lasik...what do you say, pianowizard?

I don't really want to get rid of it but I don't use it for much any more. What I was using it for I'm now doing in a virtual on my new laptop. I have other gadgets to buy and thought it I was going to sell it I better do it before the warranty is completely gone.

Warranty should be extendable, I'd imagine. Looks like a good package - best of luck! :)

The following sites - in random order! - may help the potential buyer in determining what (if any!) extended warranty to purchase, its coverage and duration:

ServicePac for post-warranty maintenance agreement

IBM Maintenance Services - ServicePac for Warranty and Maintenance Options

ThinkPlus Maintenace Services

IBM ServicePac Post-Warranty Maintenance Services

T42p's of the 2373-series should be eligible for world-wide service, according to the International Warranty Service - but it might be a good idea to check whether the seller should purchase this extended warranty (if...), and the buyer (abroad?) then buying the T42p-incl-the-extended-warranty. The thing is, that the 5-year warranty period, which can be ordered in the USA, is not available in e.g. Denmark. Here, we are only able to extend the warranty by one year past the original three-year period (I admit that I am not fully certain if the warranty can be extended multiple times by one year at a time, here in Europe - but I am rather certain that the USA price is lower than "over here").

Best regards,

Johan

Listed it on eBay today.

$850 was the best offer I got here so I put that as the starting bid on eBay. Shipping is $29.99. Thanks for looking.

It's an absolute sin that something as gorgeous as your machine failed to sell on this forum. The best of luck on eBay, I'm sure I won't be the only one watching the auction.

Unfortunately, I wasn't a buyer to begin with, just someone who appreciates T42Ps...
