Yeah I know the $150 shipped will limit my options, but that's the dollar amount I've been given to work with. Now, to the details.

I figure a fully functional T20, 600x era system. I'd go for a parts/repair system if this were for myself, but I need one that's working and doesn't have issues.

Must haves:
P3 CPU, any speed.
At least a 10GB HDD
256MB of RAM
AC Adapter
Working battery
Optical drive (CD, DVD doesn't matter)
Working LCD (a dead pixel(s) or small marks aren't a big deal)

Not needed:
Windows COA/Media
Port replicator/Dock
Wireless
Battery (only if it's a T2x series system, I have one I can use)
Carrying case/sleeve.

That's pretty much it for what I'm looking for. I can do payment via Paypal (for non CC payment I'll have to transfer some funds so that will take a couple days), Money Order or personal check, whatever you prefer. Any shipping method you want to use is fine with me. I'll be looking for a few days, so plenty of time to let me know what you have and your price. Thanks guys. :)

ajkula66 has a nice 570E-P-III 500 ,15gig,192 ram,cd-rom,ect for a nice price...With a few extra $$ saved you could get a 256 meg dimm for it or a new battery.

I might have a barebones T23 available for that price...

So far, here are the specs:
T23
1.133CPU
256mb ram
6.4GB Hard drive
CD-rom
Nice LCD (maybe a few small pressure spots)

At this point I am trying to find a replacement Mini-PCI cover, as I was one short for rebuilding these two T23s.

I know that you said no issues, but this system only has a few minor issues, but it is more of a powerhouse than what you are looking for, at the same price (might be a fair trade off for you):

1. The bezel is cracked by the microphone, above the corner of the CD drive
2. Someone tried to fix the letters on a few of the worn keys with a whiteout pen.
3. I rebuilt this system from the pulsing fan issue, and it was a parts system. I replaced as many of the screws as I could, but there are a few missing, but NOT the most important ones.

Anyway, I thought that I would throw this out there, since you are looking now. I was going to wait on posting this, until after I found all of the parts, but since you are looking for something cheap, this might work.

Let me know if you are interested, and I will take pics...

Actually, $150 shipped is plenty for the specs you're looking for. Easily a nice T20, possibly even a T21. So, there's no need to settle for a 600X.

I bought an 800mhz T21 with everything but hard drive for $100 back in January and last month, I bought a T23 with 1gb RAM, a working battery and a 1.13ghz CPU without optical drive or hard drive for $140.

Pentium III era laptops have fallen in value significantly since last summer.

Yes, they have...which is why I am finding it harder and harder to sell them locally..even at $250-300, when I was selling them last year for $425-450.

Well guys, I've gone with ajkula66's 570e. I want to thank those of you that sent offers and if I come across anyone else looking for a cheap older laptop, I'll definitely be coming back here to shop. Thanks everyone :)
