A friend of mine just gave me an old Thinkpad that he dident use anymore. The cord on the power supply if brok and needs to be fixed.I got it because i thought some of you guys might like the older ones and like to have it for parts or what ever.
There was someone here a while ago looking for older thinkpads, working or not, must look for that post....

Thinkpad 760ED 9546-U3A
From a google serch of the # above showes it as P-133,12.1",ect.
It has a cd-rom , 1.4gig hard drive, has floppy drive that can be inplace of the cd-rom , the power supply is there but the cord needs to be fixed.Battery is there (Li-Ion 10.8V , 3.0Ah strange for a laptop this old to have a Li-Ion).

I never tested this laptop or even turned it on.Because of the power supply cord.
So it's being sold as-is. But was told from my buddy it worked great.
There is ram in it,dont know what size.My guess is about 8 or 16.

I just want $5.00 for myself for packing and bringing it to post office and sending it out.And what ever the shipping charge is.
I'm guessing about 18.00 to 22.00 for shipping to most places in the USA

Nice little machine... in Germany (Ebay) you'd be able to get around EUR 30 ($40 US) for it. Lots of takers for such hardware here.

What do people use it for ?
I assume as a server. I have a couple of these, but don't use them at present.

There are a lot of people playing with older TPs in Germany, and thus a lot of demand for them.

I use mine for everyday light web surfing/word processing and E Mail.

I don't have to worry about having it stolen or dropping it or spilling coke on it.

It runs WIN98SE just fine and I kind of like the square brick-like look.

As well, it keeps my lap warm in winter (760 owners will know what I mean) which is handy in Canada.
