Hello,

I have a close friend who is in the market for a laptop and I pushed him into getting an IBM. He is interested in the latest of last generation, a T43p unit.

He needs a unit with the following things:

- 1GB of RAM (2GB recommended)
- 14" LCD SXGA (no 15" please)
- Intel or IBM A/B/G WIFI
- CD-RW drive
- Gigabit ethernet
- 9 cell battery
- 1 AC adapter (if 2, wonderful)
- Warranty from IBM lasting at least 6 months, preffered longer

No large scratches, nicks, screen scuffs, anything of that nature.

If no one steps up with a GOOD condition unit, with above specs or better, he is pretty set on getting the following laptop off ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0145151114

through Thinkpadworld.

Please post if you have a unit to sell. We would like photos beforehand.

I don't think those are T43p specs, they are basically standard T43 specs. If the model with the Intel integragted video is OK, I have one available.

And the auction is going to be a hacked one, since both of the bidders have 0 feedback...

Tell your friend to be patient, ha can do a lot better than that...

All the best.

Does he realize that it's a refurbished unit, and the 3-year warranty is provided by Mack instead of IBM?

I agree with scosgt1 that the specs your friend is looking for can be found in regular T43's, which are cheaper than the T43p.

Oh I knew a regular T43 could do it but he needs the video ram for his engineering classes at UIC.

So that ebay auction will be hacked you all say? I dealt with TPADWORLD years ago and had no issues. Explain please :)

No, ajkula66 was saying that the bidders' accounts have been hacked.

that means that a couple of low lifes decided to hack into the sellers account. If you actually win it and try to purchase it you could potentially be sending money to an unknown person and they will keep your money and not send you a laptop. That is if the auction stays alive and doesn't get pulled by Ebay or the seller. Use caution.
