FS: 15" UXGA LCD for Thinkpad R50p and compatible model

#1 Post by AdamaDBrown » Fri Jul 27, 2007 10:52 pm

This is a 15", 1600 x 1200 UXGA LCD, stock pull from a Thinkpad R50p. Condition is excellent, no scratches or dead pixels that I've ever been able to notice, and I have good eyes. It works perfectly, except that the backlight tube is burnt out, so if you're replacing a broken LCD, you'll need to move the backlight tube from the broken LCD to this one. If you don't have a functional backlight bulb, one can be gotten from eBay for around $15-$25.

I'm asking $200 or best offer. Any reasonable offer will be considered.

Putting in a backlight is a pain in the neck. And you can get a NEW QXGA screen on eBay for $300 so OP's price is pretty strong, to say the very least...

And when you're lucky you can run into a regular, working UXGA well under $200, sometimes well under $100...

Just an opinion from someone who can't imagine a day without staring at an UXGA screen... :D
