ALL SOLD! The R52, T40 & T41p have been sold!

Remaining machines off to Craigslist / eBay

Cream of the crop! This will be a tough choice for those in the market! I am selling three gorgeous and well-equipped laptops. Before I describe them, just one note - please do not try to compare them to the stripped, worn, damaged, questionable or incomplete models elsewhere. These are all complete with upgrades and extras. They work perfectly and all are in excellent or mint condition. I have personally used each for a significant amount of time and I've personally performed the upgrades.

PayPal, USPS money order or cash accepted. First come, first served, but I reserve the right to accept easy deals versus the "can you wait two weeks until my tax return comes in" deals. Any one of these will bring great pride and computing freedom to their owner! PM me with questions.

[SOLD] Perfect & Upgraded T41p

*Detailed description removed*

[SOLD] Custom, Mint & Unique T40 - Powdercoated Yellow Lid! This was my main rig until earlier this year. It is awesome and in mint condition. Not a scratch anywhere, custom yellow LCD lid, new keyboard, excellent battery, DVD burner, Bluetooth, upgraded Dothan CPU, extra battery, more!!! This is a very unique T40 that's been upgraded to T42 specs!

*Detailed description removed*

[SOLD] Fast, perfect, custom R52 with 15" SXGA+ IPS Flexview LCD Display Upgrade (among other upgrades!) and 2 year warranty

Is the warranty from IBM/Lenovo ?
As you've upgraded some things (processor, LCD etc), will Lenovo cover repairs ?

The R52 warranty is IBM/Lenovo depot repair, valid through 8-11-2009. They certainly won't fix the LCD if it fails because this type of LCD wasn't even offered on R52's (I suppose their is a 1% chance they would cover it by mistake?!) The rest of it (other than the Bluetooth CDC) should be covered.

I am including the original CPU in the event the system board fails, just swap in the original CPU, then it would be covered.

Any kind of CRU item, like CD burner or wifi card, would be covered, of course.

Actually, my wife has an R52 1849-ADU and it has an IPS 15" SXGA+ LCD. I like it so much that your R52 sounds very tempting. Best of luck, but I doubt you'll need it!

That is good to hear. While the high resolution models are listed in the IBM TABOOKs (including the 1849-ADU), they do not describe them as IPS FlexView for any R52's. I suppose it's possible that some units did get the IPS display or that all did, but they just didn't put it in writing? The R50's and R51's are specifically noted as IPS.

Actually it's not listed on ThinkWiki either, but it could have been used by mistake or to run out inventory!

Either way, the 1849-ADU is a nice laptop!

Ed,

You should email the pictures of the yellow T40 to a couple of Lamborghini dealerships and ask measly $6,000...it might just work!!!I'm sure that old man Ferruccio (if he's still alive which I doubt) would get a tremendous kick out of your custom design...

Bump for a great ThinkPadder with machines to match!

That is a good idea, if there was a dealer nearby, I'd pop in with it. I'm pretty sure I had a yellow one before Acer released their Lambo laptop.
