New pricing to get this out of the "room from hell". Begining at 12:00 Noon EDT 8/3/07 the price will be reduced by $24 to $1575, then will continue to fall by $1 every hour thereafter. The selling price is determined by the time your e-mail offering to buy is received by me. The clock stops when I receive the first serious buyer's e-mail and that person will need to arrange payment in a reasonable time or I will move on to the next buyer's e-mail offer (or re-start the clock if I have no other offers). You can PM all you want but only E-MAIL's will be accepted as a buy offer. So, if you e-mail me at 4PM EDT today with a commitment to buy and your's was the 1st one the selling price will be $1571 and so on until it sells or gets below what I feel is a sane selling price for a top level T60p. This should be bring some fun to the ol' Marketplace conference.

HERE WE GO!!!

I just came across a top level T60p that's still sealed. One of the folks I buy from found it and offered it to me first. It is NOT a refurb! If it doesn't sell here we'll keep it.

Price is determined by the time your serious buy offer e-mail is received (re-read above if needed!). This is a delivered price shipped via USPS Priority or UPS Ground (my choice) to a mainland US address only, though I can ship to many other countries via USPS Express for additional cost.

Of course this seller has 20 of them left for $4029 delivered if you'd rather buy one there! [ http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-20078DU-T60-233 ... 0142520947 ]

Warranty is Genuine IBM EasyServ through 1/16/2010. According to the tabook this model has a GLOBAL Warranty (this is in response to a question I received).

Payment accepted through PayPal (verified address needed), Postal Money orders, or bank wire. Non-US buyers must pay via bank wire (no exceptions).

Please contact me via E-MAIL only (no PM's please).

Bump

Besides the bump I updated the post to show that the warranty is global according to tabook. This was asked via e-mail by two members in the past day so I wanted to put it in the description in case other overseas members were considering the laptop but wondering about the warranty.

I thought my price was great as it was well below anything like it in the market and even delivered below what the refurbs with little warranty are selling for... but it wasn't enough! Therefore I repriced it to get this out of here fast. See first post for new pricing, and if you don't understand anything please ask me via e-mail.

This should be fun!

Nice brainpicker!!

Great to know that your sense of fun is still alive and kicking ... last time I tried to bring some fun to the marketplace, I remember you are one of the few who jumped in whole heartedly.

I would have loved to jump on this but I just blew big money on a whole bunch of older series X machines including an X31 for myself... good luck and keep the fun coming.

Only because so many are asking... we are at $1549 right..... NOW, and in another hour at 3PM EDT it will be $1548. I know I've said this to each of you who have e-mailed, but I want to make it clear here for fairness... Please remember that I cannot "hold" it for you in advance to be fair to everybody. You have commit yourself by e-mailing me when it reaches a price you think is fair. The 1st e-mail commitment gets it. I can say that everyone has expressed interest at nice even prices with numbers ending in a 5. 0. or 9, so don't be suprised if a smart buyer jumps in an hour or two ahead of you and grabs this bargain!

From the e-mails I received so far (if truthful) this won't be here tomorrow, or by Monday afternoon for sure. Lot's of people would have made il-intended promises for that to happen!

I can't beleive this has not sold yet. I haven't seen a better price for a T60p on retail channels ANYWHERE. heck, my school pricing is more than this!

Someone buy this before it goes to ebay. I can't understand why people don't get a good deal when they see one!

And when I see an offer like this I want to shoot myself for having my money sitting in 5 mediocre machines.... :banghead: instead of spending it on this one...

Yak, you've made me laugh and God bless you for that. May you get a Cyprus pound for every USD that you're looking for this beauty...

All the best.

I have a mad urge to sell my 15" T60 and buy this T60p ... I'd make money at the price this T60p is being sold at, really.

If gator wasn't so active upgrading his machines during his few weeks off this summer he probably would have bought my T60p since we correspond regularly. Right now, with all he has going on, I don't know how he even finds the time to breathe!

I appreciate the kind words from the posters here and all who have e-mailed. I've also received lots of "I will surely buy this when it reaches..." and "that machine will never get to $xxxx, but if it does I will be all over it" type e-mails. I sure hope that's true! Others who wanted me to "hold' the laptop for them if it reached a certain price certainly didn't write back to claim it as their prices passed, so I'm not counting on anything until it actually happens.

And now for an update for those who lost count... right now the price is $1505. That means at 3PM EDT today the price will be $1500. I'll be leaving at 1PM EDT and won't return until 11PM. Hopefully it will sell before I leave, but if not then the earliest timed e-mail in my box when I return tonight will be the winner (unless the price needs to fall further to find a committed buyer!).

'Hope to hear from a serious buyer soon :D !

Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick,.....
