The specs are mediocre, especially the display resolution, but the warranty helps a lot. I would say $600 to $650 on Craigslist. You'd get about $100 less on both eBay (due to fees and shipping) and this forum (because people are cheap and/or already have too many Thinkpads, and shipping).

Thanks pw. I love your high resolution laptops esp the QXGA stuff :). Killer..

I've just sold a T42 with comparable specs on eBay for $550 shipped...you have a T43 which definitely sounds better to most buyers, and about 6 months more warranty, so you should be able to walk away with $550 at least...

CL I've never dealt with, I live in the middle-of-nowhere...

As for this forum, my limited experience tells me that only somewhat unusual and/or high-end machines sell well around here, although there are exceptions. I'll be posting a couple of "regular" machines a little later (or in the morning if I'm too wiped) so you can follow the posts and see how I fare with them...

All the best.

I've advertised on the Boston (big city) and Providence (small city) Craigslists and have found that it's actually easier to get things sold on the latter, despite the much smaller population. Perhaps one reason is that there are many more ads on the Boston site, which swamp out mine, whereas my ads on the Providence site are more visible. Another reason is that there's more competition on the Boston site.
