I'm sorry moderators, but Brainpicker's thread is locked and I have to let someone know I'm a new Thinkpad owner! My wife is tired of hearing about it  .

I bought Brainpicker's new sealed T60p that many of you have been lusting over. I initially was wanting a T4x and was actually going to buy one of Underclocker's, the T41p (sorry Underclocker). But alas, after pondering it, and reading the thread in the T4x forum about defective GPU solder joints, I decided to go for a T6x.

I first looked at a Lenovo site and configured one of their T61s with the newly released SXGA+ screens. By the time I configured it the way I wanted, it came close to the price of Brainpicker's more powerful and better-screened T60p. Plus, the T61 only had a 1 year warranty as opposed to the 2 1/2 years left on Brainpickers.

So, I'm waiting with baited breath for Brainpicker to ship so I can follow the UPS truck around the neighborhood hopefully on Friday.

You are going to be VERY happy when you have it in your hands. Yak is an awesome seller and that T60p, well, lets just say is almost maxed out (except for the RAM, maybe)!

Congrats on the purchase.
