That machine is in very nice physical condition-you shouldn't have a problem selling it. Good luck with your sale.

What is the going rate for these now? I just saw one sell last week w/only 512 or ram for $500 and mine has an upgraded WiFi Card. Make me a reasonable offer.

Yup, at $400 I'd be itching at my "Buy" button, but not at $550.

$400's lowballing slightly IMO (the SXGA+ screen, 7200rpm HDD, etc.), but for fear of turning this thread into an unfair discussion on prices, I'd suggest that you do your negotiations via PM.

I just said the price that would make me salivate, not what I think its worth.

yep, too high. I think for not too much more than what i'd offer (450), a nicely equipped 42 could be had.

I think prices should be always mentioned.

No one wants to pay overprice,

some make business in these threads, those who go praising each others computers, who knows they might be the same person or are splitting the money...

No, most of us who buy and sell here, whether business or hobby, do so because we expect (and receive) fair treatment and good pricing. I've bought and sold a few computers and many accessories on this forum and have always had excellent transactions.

That said, prices here are lower than eBay, mostly because we all know what we are buying and put it here in order to have a fast and hassle-free transaction. Likewise, we buy here because we want honest representation of what we are buying and a low price.

eBay is just too variable. You may very well have seen a recent T41 go for $550 or even $650, but that doesn't change the fact that such an eBay sale may have been made to someone who didn't know the value, or more likely that it was a Nigeria scam.

I saw it go for $500 on this board, that is why I priced it at $550 the way I did. I will lower my price a bit more due to the majority thinking I am asking to much. Thank you all for your opinions, that is why I was asking.

FYI, I just sold an upgraded T41p and close to mint (added Atheros b/g and 80GB 7K100 HD) for $550. The used market is not pretty (for sellers).

Is that because you'd gladly pay 250 pounds for a mint T41p?

underclocker, I most definitely would, if that is a mint 14" t41p.
