T4x parts blowout: Optical, memory, wireless, lots more!

#1 Post by jargoone » Fri Aug 10, 2007 9:36 pm

I've recently finished up my refurb lot of T40s, and am ready to get rid of all the extra parts I have in my basement.

What I don't have: Good motherboards, bluetooth modules, any non-T4x parts.

What I do have: Nearly everything else! These all came from 14" XGA units. Here goes...

Batteries:
These are not eligible for recall. Listed by my meaningless inventory number. Picture is a screen capture of the battery info screen.

Ultrabay slim drives:
1 x CDRW/DVD: FRU 13N6769. $35
1 x CDRW/DVD: FRU 92P6581. This one operates with some noise, but seems to work fine. As-is, no refund. $25
DVD: FRU 08K9864 $20 SOLD OUT

Memory:
13 x 256MB PC2100 SODIMM. Many different manufacturers, but all OEM with FRU. $10 (quantity discount available)

Wireless cards: (check compatibility to be safe)

Philips ABG, FRU 39T0071. I think this is a rebranded Atheros. $35 SOLD
Atheros ABG, FRU 39T0081. Has the sticker for the bottom of the system. $40
Dell-branded Agere systems, wireless B only. It's on the whitelist: 1802 hack is not necessary. $15

Keyboards:
#1: FRU 08K4957. Made in China. Moderate shine (7/10), with worn A, S, E, O keys. Pic: http://bnbstauffer.net/tpf/parts/dsc_0031.jpg . $15 SOLD

Palmrests:
One left! Some light surface scratches, stickers almost perfect. $15
Pics: http://bnbstauffer.net/tpf/parts/dsc_0044.jpg

Caddys/covers/hard drives:
1 x With new Seagate 40GB 5400 RPM, 5 year warranty. Can load with factory image if desired. $50
1 x new (sealed) Seagate 40GB 5400 RPM, 5 year warranty. Can load with factory T40 image if desired. $40
2 x hard drive caddy cover $8 SOLD

Miscellaneous parts:
I have just about any other part you can imagine. If you have something that you've been meaning to fix for a while, here's your chance. Off the top of my head:
- Inverters/cables
- Bezels (screen and keyboard)
- Lids (the metal lid itself, stripped of LCD)
- Cracked LCDs (maybe good for the backlight?)
- Wireless antennas (WLAN, not bluetooth)
- Hinges
- Screen latches
- 1.5 Ghz CPUs
- Short fans
- Dead motherboards
- Bases and base parts (PCMCIA assemblies/slot covers, Ultrabay assemblies, etc)
- Memory slot covers
- Screws (any of them except for the optical drive lock)

If there's anything else not listed, ask. I probably have it.
Prices: make a reasonable offer!

Terms:

Pricing is somewhat firm, but not set in stone. I'll lower prices eventually, if I think it's necessary.

Shipping: Shipping is not included. I will ship anywhere, whatever method you want, and charge actual rates. For US buyers, USPS Priority Mail is usually the best option. I ship very quickly -- usually the same day.

Payment: I take PayPal and can send an invoice through Google Checkout. PayPal CC +3%. CC through Google Checkout is free.

Contact: Please email me through the forum, since PMs are hard to deal with in any quantity.

Any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for looking!

Hi:

I'd like to purchase the two caddies. I need the four little screws that come with each caddy to hold the hard drive. Please contact me by email, michaelmoore2007 <at> rogers <dot> com.

Thanks.

this might sound stupid, but would you by chance want to get rid of all the dead motherboards?

It doesn't sound stupid at all.

Most of the dead motherboards are gone. I sold a total of 12 of them on eBay as non-working barebones or bases. I believe I have three left. PM or email if interested.
