This notebook is in excellent condition and works well. Passes all diagnostic tests.
There is a minor problem with the screen, it sometimes has an area where it is lighter but can always be fixed by adjusting the monitor in a different way. It in no way affects the performance of the computer.

I'm sorry but $300 for a P3 700Mhz system is just way excessive no matter how you put, especially if it has problems. A proper price for this should be in the $150-180 range.
