All of these books are available used from Amazon.com, some of them are quite inexpensive.

Yeah I know they are, they ar ein my wish list.

However I will not do business with Amazon because they wont take my paypal.

PayPal is a "creature" of Ebay and as such is not recognized elsewhere. But since your location is specified as California, you must have a credit card (or a whole wallet full of them) like any "normal" American and thus have no problems buying books via Amazon or any other internet seller.

I can even use my German credit card to buy books for my sister in the States...

Yep, I could 'finance' my used books, but that would be dumb.

Secondly e-bay has only 1 of the books I am looking for and for their used price I could buy it new elsewhere.

Still looking for these and hoping someone might have a copy sitting under a chair or in the back of a closet somewhere.

You can buy them from borders or barnes noble B&M stores. They'll have to order it for you, but its quite common.

I'm an antique dealer specializing in aviation memorabilia and books. I have many of my books listed on Abebooks.com. Many of the dealers that list on ABE honor Paypal. Another bookselling group that have many members that honor Paypal is alibris.com.
The following search engines will turn up lots of listings in the above mentioned groups as well as others:

That is very useful information indeed.

Of course it goes without saying that I would rather purchase from the community as I prefer to help out others. I am more than willing to pay fair prices for books in OK condition that are on my list.

I will check out the above-mentioned websites in the previous posters response though.
