started to pack the bedroom i use for storage..
IRT the 701C thinkpads..
there are ten of them..
and probably enough drives to go around..
one of these MIGHT be the one i upgraded to a 133mhz cpu and it MIGHT have a 64meg memory part..
if i start looking at each one i can guarantee that that is one i will keep..
my guess is shipping will be $25 and the 701C is $25..
ALSO, i have a 560..
no battery..
$25..
please no PM's..
email or post here..

Any 701C's left? And the 770's, were you selling those individually or as a lot? What model(s) are they?

i have 4 770's..
two are keepers, for now.. for the "collection"
the others are basically junkers..
for parts..
one 13 inch display and one 14 inch display..
i THINK both are 770E/ED series..
so far no 701C's have been sold..
they should all go in a bunch..
but i will sell them individually, for $25 and $25 shipping and handling..
(i am moving.. added work packing individual thinkpads is NOT what this is all about)
i counted them and there are 11..
also there is a system board upgrade with an AMD 100mgh cpu and a 64meg memory upgrade part..
and another shell with keyboard and display..
i also have several new keyboards and a bunch on new (really!) old stock batteries..
i would not sell them as anything more than a doorstop..
so i'll add one of these for each 701 assuming they are still around here, someplace..
there is also a 340(?) with non color display..
a really old thinkpad..!

If you do decide to split them up, can you post or PM me an address to send a check (for $25 + $25 = $50) to? If I could get one of them working it would make a good computer for taking notes in some of my classes, since my A31 doesn't really fit on the desks here.

Bill
I emailed you earlier about payment as well... please PM or email me with your address so I can send you a money order tomorrow. I've always thought the 701 was a work of industrial art!
I know moving can be a major drag, my sympathies!

i would suggest a 240 rather than a 701C..
the battery issue alone would make me hesitate..
then the OS issue..
win95 will run and so will win98, exceedingly slowly..
and there is no guarantee that all of these will work or work well..
the best use of the 701 now is to run win3.11 or OS/2 warp..
all that said if you want a 701, i will sell you one..
remember, no AC adapter, only the 701C and probably a hard drive..

Yeah that's fine, if I can't get it to work it will still make a good display piece.

too much confusion with this while trying to pack and move..
easier to just pack it all up in one box..

so no more sales..
until after the move..

Check or money order? I'll wait until after you're moved and settled in, no hurry to get it.

Hey Bill
I'm also happy to wait for a 701 until you've settled into your new place.
