Are you parting that T40 out, or are you selling it as a complete parts machine???

by ccotenj
i suppose i would be willing to part it out... might as well...
in addition, i have a 100gb 7200rpm seagate drive that is basically brand new...
extra power supply...
9 cell battery at about 85% of capacity...
lenovo sleeve...
brenthaven metro case....

How about posting some prices then???? As I'm sure you know, it's a practice on this forum that the prices should be stated...and I'm sure that I won't be the only one bucking for a thing or two...

by pianowizard
Yeah, please post the prices. I am somewhat interested in the 100GB Seagate, though I doubt you can beat Newegg's price ($95 shipped with PayPal checkout).

Wow, both are nicely priced! I suppose the 60GB is out of warranty whereas the 100GB still has most of its 5-year warranty?

Aw, stupid? Chris, you're going to make my Pismo cry...

Posted: Thu Aug 30, 2007 2:39 pm
by ccotenj
lol... actually, she's trying to talk me into one... i'm resisting... :) but i may yet give in...

yea pw, the 60mb was the original... the 100mb has 4 years, 11 months of warrantee left... i only put it in a month ago, maybe a bit less...

i'm hoping most of the prices are in the "priced to move" category, i don't wanna mess around looking at my poor dead machine... so if anyone feels i'm too high (well... you can never be too high :) ), please feel free to make offers (and make offers on all the little bits and pieces too)...

what fsb is the dothan 1.8

Posted: Fri Aug 31, 2007 8:01 am

It'll be a 400MHz FSB, and most likely the SL7EN (click on CPU code for link to info.

by underclocker
That is a fine CPU at a very good price. It'd be a nice upgrade for an R5x or a T4x.

Posted: Fri Aug 31, 2007 7:56 pm
by ccotenj
yes, it's a sl7en.... it was used about a month... i got it from someone who bought it and never installed it...

I'm very intested about the CPU and the keyboard...is it english or american? mine is German and i don't like it.....can you show a picture about his keys disposition?

here is what is left, plus a few more things

here's what is left.... if you want pictures, please pm me with a working email address... also please don't bother asking for "best price" on stuff... make me an offer if that is what you want to do... EDIT: don't waste my time or yours with ridiculous lowball offers... they will be either ignored or replied to in a rude manner, depending on my mood.

oh yea... all stuff is from a 14 inch model... price includes shipping to CONUS... i'll consider shipping internationally at buyer's expense...

dothan 1.8 $65
2 - 256mb $10/ea - 1 left
100gb 7200rpm drive $85 - SOLD
lcd assembly (xga) $70 has a couple scratches
cd rw/dvd combo drive $30 - SOLD
belkin n wireless card $55 (includes software)
belkin bluetooth dongle $10
9 cell battery $50... around 85%... SOLD
6 cell battery $10... not sure of %... works for 30 mins to 1 hour...
nice thai keyboard... $20 SOLD

first person to pay me gets the items... i'm no longer dealing with the "thinking about it" crowd... :)

adding...

shaggymac $10
new samsonite carrying case $25
new keyboard protector $15 (the kind that is custom molded to the keyboard to protect it from spills, etc.)... never got a chance to put it on...

a lot of people have asked about screws/covers... i will sell the carcass (i.e. bottom case, palm rest w/touch pad covers, screws, hdd caddy, fan, and whatever else i didn't pry off the mobo) for $40... please note that it is taken apart... i'm only selling this "whole"... i'm not interested in sending one screw here and one screw there... SOLD to underclocker...

Oh no Chris you don't!!! Had you said that you were getting another ThinkPad I would've bought everything that you have left, but you can't be offending people here and telling them you're selling ThinkPad parts to help Steve Jobs...

Bump for a great seller who'll be giving away that Mac on this forum within a few weeks...

Received the CD-RW/DVD package today. Thanks for the exceptional padding and the Priority Mail shipping. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Possibly interested in the cpu. Got any more info on it, like how old she is? Also assuming you upgraded to this from a 1.3?

Posted: Sun Sep 16, 2007 3:51 pm
by ccotenj
what other info would you like on the cpu? as stated earlier, it was sold to me as new (i have no reason to believe that it wasn't, as it was still sealed), and i used it for about a month.

no, i upgraded from a 1.5.

Already have. My brother is using it w/Ubuntu_7.04. He's jazzed about that (ought to be since I gave him my old but rebuilt T41) and brags about not having to use XP. I traded it to him after some "hee-ing and haw-ing" ...

i don't want to have to fleabay this stuff - package deals!!
