WTB the cheapest non-UL X60s possible ($600 max)

I would like to buy this for an experiment. Warranty is a must, because I might damage something. It also must have a non-UltraLight LCD. My highest offer is $600 shipped, for a really basic unit. I don't mind dead battery, cracks, shiny keyboards, 4200rpm hard drive, 256MB RAM, dead pixels, pressure marks, etc. Thanks.

Is this for your 12" SXGA+ "experiment"?

Precisely. My original plan was to wait for another year or two when X60s will become very affordable. But now I really want to do it ASAP!

Can you buy an X60s for $600 already?

I have checked on eBay only a few times, and have seen two or three units with very nice specs and lots of warranty being sold in the $700 range. What I am looking for here is something with the most basic features and it can even be in pretty bad cosmetic condition. $600 shipped for such a unit is certainly possible.
X60s owners, do you regret not buying a unit with an UltraLight LCD (which is much brighter and lighter than what you have)? Does your X60s get intolerably hot? Are you sick of having only 1024x768 resolution? Are the keys too small? Or are you displeased with your X60s in some other ways? This is your best opportunity to get rid of this piece of junk and replace it with something better. Please send me a PM and I'll buy it from you!

That's up there with the best examples of business acumen I've ever seen on this forum!

Yes, we should. I am near Bellaire and Hwy 6.
BTW, I was not just making up these shortcomings of the X60s. I owned an X60s for about two months and these issues bothered me a lot, which was why I had it for such a short time.
