Found some stocks of X40/1 batteries, new

#1 Post by mazzinia » Sat Sep 01, 2007 4:22 pm

Found this by chance while checking other things... who knows, maybe someone is interested ;)

I "think" that the price is quite good...

Real long URL changed to link

(sorry for the long link, but I've no idea how to shorten it)

Moderator edit: This works:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0136297029
or specify some link text:
{url=really long URL string....}Text goes here{/url} (substitute {} with [])
X31 2672-C6J
IBM 9401-P03 (As/400 "portable")
A crowd of assembled desktops, a jungle of cables... and a Palm m515

$29 each doesn't sound too bad for new batteries. Maybe a group buy is in order? (Won't be me since I don't have any X4x systems)

I'd go in on it.

So is anyone willing to take the lead on this? I'll buy two of the batteries.

I think someone has to buy the box of 20 and then figure out a price that covers their 1) time, 2) re-packing costs, 3) re-shipping costs and 4) PayPal fees.

Realistically, the batteries (in the U.S.) will be $29 plus $6 to cover packing, shipping and PayPal, so $35 total delivered in U.S. is about right.

The only three considerations for the coordinator are 1) time, 2) when the batteries were actually made (but for the price, no one should care too much), 3) what to do with the left over batteries, as their could be hundreds of dollars in exposure - unless commitments for 20 units are secured prior to the purchase.

There is the plan, now we need a plan coordinator.

Of course there is also potential profit if the coordinator sells them on ebay for say $40 each. Sounds like we've already got about 7 or so accounted for on the forum. I know I'd be willing to pay up to $40 to cover the time and efforts of the coordinator.
