For sale: Intel T2400 CPU - no longer available

no longer available - I put it back because I am selling the machine and will not get any extra $$ for a faster CPU - in fact most people do not like it if it has been modified


Upgraded my Z61m 8 months ago to a T7200 but kept the original CPU, a T2400 (1.83Ghz 2Mb L2 cache Core Duo) in case the machine needed to go back for warranty (it did not).

Now warranty has expired I am selling the T2400 CPU.

I am in New Zealand so if you are located elsewhere you need to take the shipping time in consideration.

{edit:}Since I am in New Zealand it is difficult to put down an asking price. I gather that on eBait these CPU's command anything between 75 - 100 USD. Let's start with 75 and go from there? PM me if you are interested.

PS: I used to work in the electronics industry and was repsonsible for the QA. Hence I am very strict in applying antistatic procedures.

Unlike some eBait vendors where you may see the parts lying on carpet or just being held between their fingers, this has been handled with proper antistatic procedures. I go even as far as that when a machine has been to Lenovo for servicing it will be replaced since I do not trust the handling that the local service people utilise . . . (!) (I rely on my machines for my living and cannot afford any downtime while I am using the laptop).

Is no-one interested in upgrading their CPU?

Or do I need to drop the price (which I think is already {slightly?} below what is asked on eBait)?

If you are interested make me an offer, it seems a shame to have it lying idle around or to throw it away.
