FS: R40 w/ Bad System Board

My R40 recently had it's video card fail (one long followed by three shorts). I've looked into what it will take to replace it, and it's not worth the effort for me. It seems a shame to bring to the recycling depot an otherwise perfectly good laptop, so I thought I'd offer it up on this forum to the person who makes the best offer.
The model is a 2897-54U, with a minor upgrade to RAM:
P M 1.3GHz, 512MB RAM, 40GB 4200rpm HDD, 15 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, 32MB ATI Radeon 7500, 24x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11b wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 10/100 Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip(TCPA), IEEE 1394, 8 cell Li-Ion battery.
The lucky buyer will also get an ultrabay floppy drive in nifty carrying case, port replicator, restore CDs and power adapter. The harddrive has been wiped clean, and no OS license will be conveyed. Also, in the interest of full disclosure, there is a crack in the bottom left hand corner of the bezel surrounding the display. That defect has had no effect on performance. In addition, the battery is basically a goner.
Up until the sudden failure of the GPU, this computer was working great. I've never even had any of the display problems associated with a bad inverter. In sum, someone with the time and inclination to swap out the system board on this laptop can get a good computer for a song.
