FS: Brand new keyboard for R6x/T6x(p) FRU: 42T3273
I ordered this keyboard for a T61 but ended up not using it. I don't know it if it is compatible with other machines or not. It is brand new, never plugged in. Will be shipped in original packaging in the same box IBM sent it in.
FRU number is: 42T3273 Standard English, U.S. keyboard.
I would like to get 30$- SHIPPED - using USPS priority. You can pay using paypal, check, or money order, I am fine with any of those. Of course, if payment is made by check, the check will have to clear before keyboard is sent
The only days I can ship are Friday or Saturday. I have an ebay account with 100% feedback, I will send you my username upon request.
Please private message me if interested.
Thank you,
Brad

price lowered
... as I didn't know for which types of T61's this keyboard is intended/usable, I had to check, and I see that it is a Chicony according to Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad R61/T61 14.1" widescreen which is usable on these ThinkPads:
T61's 14.1" widescreen, types: 6480, 6481, 7658, 7659, 7660, 7661, 7662, 7663, 7664, 7665 and

Johan that information can't possibly be correct. This keyboard should be able to be used on all T61s and R61s, it was ordered for a standard screen 14.1" T61 type 8891, none of the widescreen types that you listed. Can you remove your list, please? As soon as possible.Johan wrote:... as I didn't know for which types of T61's this keyboard is intended/usable, I had to check, and I see that it is a Chicony according to Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad R61/T61 14.1" widescreen which is usable on these ThinkPads:

Thank you.
Brad:
I'm sorry to say that I don't believe I have said anything which is incorrect. If you kindly check the IBM site referenced to above, you'll find exactly the information copied in my post.
If you check the ThinkPad T61 and T61p (14.1-inch) Hardware Maintenance Manual (this HMM valid for T61's and T61p's of the MT 8889, 8890, 8891, 8892, 8893, 8894, 8895, 8896, 8897, 8898, 8899, 8900, 8938, and 8939) and there see page 148, here you will find a list of keyboards for the T61 type 8891. According to that list, the keyboard FRU's for model 8891 T61's are: 43T3177 (Alps), 42T3241 (Chicony) and 42T3109 (NMB). Other T61 HMM's can be found at this page.
Maybe you simply ordered and/or received the incorrect part? I of course stand wiling to be corrected, if you believe IBM (or Lenovo) has an error somewhere.
To emphasize: I have no intentions whatsoever of trying to spoil your sale; all I wanted was to provide a little more specific (and hence useful) information for potential buyers, so people may have a better opportunity to quickly decide whether this item is relevant for them, or not. Fortunately, I fully am confident that you truly appreciate this effort.
Best regards,
Johan

Now how is that possible? My 8891 came from Lenovo with a keyboard FRU of 42T3209.... The plot thickens.Johan wrote:snipped
Isn't it possible that these are all the same keyboards, different manufacturers, but will attach to each t61 the same?
Look up this FRU of 42T3273 on some IBM replacement part sites. It is never stated that this FRU number is only for this size laptop, or this size screen, it is only advertised at T61 / R61 replacement keyboard.
Notice in this link Gator even said it would fit the T60: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... t=keyboard
Do you see what I am seeing here sir? I feel like if you don't know for sure, 100%, without an ounce of doubt what you are posting is the absolute truth, then maybe its not fair to head into someones for sale thread and muck it all up?
