Since I just blew my motherboard on my T40 (2373-7CU) trying to hack the BIOS to get a non-IBM wireless card in, it looks like I need another one.
If anyone has one for sale, please let me know.
Thanks,
Sean

Sorry to hear about your mishap...I don't have a MB to sell, but would you mind sharing what exactly happened with your T40...hope I'm not putting salt on your wound, and apologize if I am...I'm quite certain that quite a few people on this forum would be interested to find out more about such an unpleasant experience, so they wouldn't repeat it themselves...
Good luck.
Good luck.

Toast!
First off, sorry about the very late reply. Busy week and little computer access. From what I've gathered in another thread, I must have left the AC plugged in or the battery in when I was working on the actual components. That would explain the fried motherboard!ajkula66 wrote:Sorry to hear about your mishap...I don't have a MB to sell, but would you mind sharing what exactly happened with your T40...hope I'm not putting salt on your wound, and apologize if I am...I'm quite certain that quite a few people on this forum would be interested to find out more about such an unpleasant experience, so they wouldn't repeat it themselves...

But I'm working on finding a replacement motherboard and bringing the T40 back online. I am buying a desktop (I need it for work I'm doing now), but want the laptop for when I travel.
Thanks for all the input.
